Oh yay it's reunion day tmr...

When I think of my maternal extended family, I'd always feel like crying... They were the ones who took care of me while growing up... Especially my grandma. It was human's love at its ultimate. Certainly wasn't easy.

I remember standing beside her watching her cook... Tagging along with her to the wet market... Crawling up on her laps...

She was the one who tricked me and plucked off my tooth... Who brought my cousins and I to the playground... Otherwise, she'd scream from the 10th floor for us to go home. Who rubbed boiled egg on my bruise...

She's always the one chucking money into my hands even though I refused to take... And she'd tell me not to tell my parents.

I thank God that she's still very fit and healthy for her age. :)

My grandpa.

He's always the silent one. The first to sleep in the family. The one who loved watching WWF on the TV... The one who loves eating duck backsides! So we'd always save that for him.

He has diabetics and had just amputated his lower leg. This brought me back to the Youtube video I saw about the process of a below-knee amputation. It saddens me to think that he had to go through that operation.

When I see him tmr, he'd be on a wheelchair. It'd certainly break my heart.

To think that I played on a wheelchair in school, wheeling around... Making turns... Trying to 'park' myself... It's just not funny anymore knowing that a loved one has to depend on it now.

As a nursing student, I'm prepared to be bombarded with questions tmr, of which I hope I can help. But frankly speaking, I'm still a green horn and there're simply too much stuff to learn about everything in such a short time.

It's always good to have a nurse in the family HAHA. To consult if you doubt the doctors. =P
